From Your Chef de Gare We have
been busy the last few weeks traveling to the Grande Promenades in Idaho, Washington, California and Oregon spreading the
word on next years Promenade Nationale here in Vancouver. We were received and treated like royalty everywhere we went,
made new friends and got guarantees…well… maybe promises…to attend next year. They all seemed genuinely
impressed that we took the time and trouble to spend several days traveling to and from and attending their Meetings, Cheminots,
Wrecks and Promenades. Don’t
forget the September Promenade and Picnic will be held August 28th because we will be on the road again heading back east
for the Promenade Nationale in Illinois in September. Still serving,

Loci News This
summer season seems to be shorter than normal to me. I hope we have a Indian summer this year because there
have been many days with below average temperatures. The only event on the schedule this month is La Center " Our Days
" Festival. This event normally was on the same day as Camas Days so we were only
participating every other year. This year they are having a twilight parade on the 20th of August.
Ed (leadfoot) Dunkle and crew will be representing the Voiture in La Center, Washington. The parade
is at 8 p.m. so if you would like to ride along get a hold of Ed Dunkle . This Festival runs all weekend
and has lots to do including lawn mower races, children's activities, music in the park & antique car show. .
Note: The Loci will not be attending National Convention in Springfield, Illinois
due to a change of decision from the Cheminot Board.
. Until next time....
