Weather UPDATE: Annual Iwo Jima Flag Raising Ceremony

Due to an ‘inclement weather forecast’ for the Canby Adult Center* this Saturday, 25 February at 1000:
- The indoor ceremony at the middle school next door is CANCELLED, but…
- The flag raising will still take place, no matter what the weather is…**
There will be no bathroom facilities.
The weather forecast for 10AM is slight precipitation and 29oF.
The Canby-Aurora VFW post 6057 and Auxiliary invites you to the annual Iwo Jima flag raising ceremony.
On Saturday, February 25, 10am at the Ackerman gym. Following the indoor program at Ackerman gym, we will proceed to the Canby adult center’s flagpole to raise the new flag by the Marine honor guard, and scatter Iwo Jima sand on the memorial rock.
Please invite your veterans to this special ceremony.
Veteran organizations are invited to bring their colors, please come at 9:30am for assembly.
