For more than five decades, the Hazel Dell Parade of Bands has been celebrating the music – and the people – of our community, and the 2019 Parade continues that community commitment. Over the years, hundreds of thousands of community members have strolled the Parade route, both as participants and spectators, and generations of families have come to look forward to this iconic community event.

This year’s Parade, set for Saturday, May 18, celebrates that tradition with the theme “Generations of Music.” Presented each year by the Hazel Dell/Salmon Creek Business Association, the Parade showcases the talented musicians from more than two dozen local high school and middle school bands.

In keeping with the generations theme, the Hazel Dell/Salmon Creek Business Association is proud to announce that this year’s Parade Grand Marshal’s are the father and son duo of Neil Kimsey and Greg Kimsey. The well-known father and son are long-time community advocates and have spent decades locally in public service. Most recently, Neil has served as a Commissioner of the Clark Regional Wastewater Board, while Greg has served as Clark County Auditor.
